Library is a treasure house of knowledge and it is considered as the heart of any educational institution. K.B.N. College UG library was established in 1965 and was named after Sri. Tallam Satyanarayana.
The library was started with a great ambition and commitment with a bare minimum of one thousand books at the time of Its inception. Book lovers like Lnt. colonel A.K Singhal, Sri. P.MadhuSudhana Rao,Sri.KBS Sastry, Sri Immedisetty Akkeswara Rao, Sri NV Ramana, Smt. Siva Parvathi, Sri TV Subba Rao, Sri MSS Sasidhar donated books to our library. Telugu academy, Hyderabad also donated books generously. The college committee added a set of volumes on Vedas
The First Librarian Sri Venkateswara Rao 1965-1991 served the library for 26 years relentlessly. Sri DV Krishna the then assistant Librarian took charge in the year1992 as Librarian. He continued to strengthen the library in his capacity till his retirement in 1997. Later on Sri. V.Tirupathi Rao M.A., M.Li.Sc, M.Phil, was designated as the third Librarian of the college from 1997-1999 in the year 2000 he was appointed as the permanent librarian, who gave a new turning in pace with the twenty first century library trends.
The College UG Library is housed in a duplex building with a Reading Room, an issue/return counter and Stock Area in the ground floor. It is adequately ventilated and well furnished with academic ambience. A well-furnished Reference section is in the first floor. The library has been identified as the Second Best Library in the purview of Acharya Nagarjuna University in 2011.
The Library has a collection of 63502 volumes, 121 journals both national and international, 39 Periodicals, 1602 CD’s & DVD’s for e-Learning. The library maintains a book bank for poor students and organizes competitions to encourage reading habit among students. The books are arranged in Dewey decimal classification system.
Well qualified and trained staff interested in the implementation of new technologies contributes to a professional functioning of the library.

Digital Library (Internet Facility): The ACM’s Digital Library is published by the Association for Computing Machinery which is the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society. It delivers resources that advance computing as a science and professional. It provides the computing field’s premier digital library and serves its members with leading edge publications, conferences and career resources. In addition to Books and CD’s our library provides internet access for the students free of cost. Enables Research scholars retrieve information from internet.
INFLIBNET: The Digital Library has access to e-resources through a programme entitled “National Library and information Services infrastructure for Scholarly Content” (N-List). This is a programme funded by the Ministry of Human Resources Development under its National Mission in Education through information Library Network centre an autonomous inter-University Centre of UGC.
This N-list programme provides access to more than 3,828 e-journals (including current issues with 10 years back files) and 80,409+e-books. Thus the students and Faculty members have access to Scholarly Content available in open access through subject portals and subjects gateways.
CD Library: Library has a collection of CD’s on different subjects. They are issued to the interested students and staff for their use.
